Legends of this shadowy figure circulate around the taverns of Aradena, the Dark Knight is a popular tale dating back to the First Age. Little is known for certain about the Dark Knight as sightings are few and far between, often made up. However, it is said that the Knight protects the town and villages outside the Wall venturing into the Kingdom only in pursuit of beasts and Orcs who manage to slip through. Tales of his battle with the great dragon ‘Ardecalagma the Atrocious’, who was bred by ‘Morath’ and believed to be as large as a city during the First Age of Aradena, are told in the theatres of the city to this day. His unparalleled power comes from magical influences on which he wields with unequalled strength, however, it is said he suffered horrific injury and disfigurement in his battle with ‘Ardecalagma the Atrocious’ causing him to retreat into a life of solitude.
